Instead of displaying one tab behind the other, the application puts the screens side by side. The new look makes the screen a little cleaner since it would show fewer tabs at a time. On the other hand, it hinders the work of those who often use multiple tabs at the same time.
To test the change, you need to have the latest version of Chrome Canary on Android. In the app’s address bar, type “chrome://flags” and search for “Enable horizontal tab switcher”. Enable this option and restart the browser with the “Relaunch Now” button.
It is worth remembering that the test is not a guarantee that the change will be released to the default version of Chrome. In some cases, changes made in Canary are waived before even reaching a larger group of users.
